The Frozen Fountain.

Today I was in Amsterdam for a meeting with the guys at The Frozen Fountain. If ever you're in the city, I'd recommend that you call in for a good look around. It's completely full of beautiful Dutch design items, mixed together with international classic furniture and accessories. Nothing short of a treat.

Oh,, and there'll even be some Applause Machines there in the not too distant future.

A new, much improved, film of the Applause Machine is on the way. We have handed the job over to the professionals John and Katrin. Here you can see them hard at work with their very professional looking equipment.

Kanye West

Apparently world super mega-star and cultural entrepreneur Kanye West has written about us on his own blog. It seems that the Applause Machines have bamboozled him a little and made his brain hurt! Sorry Kanye.

Ron Arad Expo in Paris: A lucky start for 2009

I was lucky enough to visit my in-laws for a couple of weeks over Christmas and the New Year.... Two weeks with the in-laws (!!),,,, may not seem very lucky to some, but mine happen to live in Paris, so that in fact, it's actually pretty fortuitous.

French wine, fantastic food, world renowned tourist sites, more babysitter options (again the in-laws) than we have time to handle and of course a tiple or two of champagne, to mention just a few of the perks / pleasures.

On top of ALL this, our visit happened to coincide with the "No Discipline" exhibition of the work of Ron Arad. It's on until 12th March 2009 at the Centre Pompidou. It's completely fabulous, inspirational, and truly made for a lucky start for 2009.

As this is my first blog of the year... I wish everybody ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD FOR 2009!
